Giulia Monego Bio: Since childhood Giulia has dedicated herself to her passion for mountains and snow. This passion took her first from the Venetian waters of her birth to the Dolomites. It was here that between the ages of 13 and 20 Giulia found success in a competitive alpine race career - beginning on the regional and national circuit, and then competing on the international F.I.S. circuit. But there is a time for everything - Giulia turned away from the strain of competition and this early success. The opportunity to try telemarking opened a new chapter in her life. Inspired by the concept “Free the heel, free the mind.” Giulia found a new direction and was led onward into the world of freeriding. She has now made her home in Verbier in the Swiss Alps, amongst the mountains which inspire and motivate her, and where she was able really to discover what freeriding means. Her outstanding achievements have gained her well-earned recognition and respect. For many years she has also shared her passion and her talents teaching off piste ski techniques.
