Bio

MARJA LIVES THE THRILL AND JOY OF FREERIDE - it has become the love of her life. Her first experiences of the unexpected joys of fresh tracks in virgin snow changed the course of her life. Skiing was transformed from a childhood love of snow into an all consuming passion. Marja’s incredible achievements in freeskiing competitions now take her worldwide, but the snow is in her soul and the mountains will always be her home.

• 1st place at Derby de la Meije, France, telemark women and team. 2008.
• 3rd overall at the Nissan Freeride World Tour, women’s alpine. 2008.
• 1st place at Verbier Xtreme, women’s alpine, Switzerland. 2007.
• 1st place Freeride World Tour virtural ranking, women’s alpine, 2006/7.
• 1st place Engadine Snow, women’s alpine, Switzerland. 2006.
• 1st place Swedish Freeride Championships, women’s alpine. 2004.
